Started trolling out of Four Seasons Resort around 08:45. Weather was absolutely lovely. Got my one-and-only bite for the day at 10AM on a #2 Needlefish, orange with white stripe and white back, on two colors of leaded line and about 100 feet of leader. Fish was a Rainbow, 4 pounds, 20.5 inches, beautiful orange meat on the inside, tasted good for dinner. No more bites for the day, quit at 12:30. Tried a frog flatfish on surface line, tried a small green/orange Rapala on leaded line, tried a green/orange needlefish, no bites on any of them.
Only one fish, but I rate this day a 3 for the size and quality of the trout. Fish fought really hard, this is the first time in a LONG time that I've seen a trout tail-walk across the surface for 10 to 15 feet.

Good Report, those bows hit like a ton of bricks, and put up a great fight. what area were you trolling in, in relation to Four Seasons and the island? Hope to go there for a few days pretty soon. Ken

Caught this fish straight out from the mid-lake side of Catfish Charlie's island. I was out from the island far enough that bottom depth was about 17 to 18 feet. Fish seemed to be spread from 5 to 15 feet deep. I was running my spoons and plugs right through the middle of them, but they didn't seem very hungry, except for this one. Saw lots of smaller ones, and a few good sized ones. Charlie's island is toward the town of Sprague from Four Seasons, very close to the railroad track side of the lake.

Don't know, I don't have a speed indicator. As slow as I can go without the motor quitting. Too fast for a flatfish, because it barrel rolls intead of wobbles. Just about right for a rapalla or a needlefish. I use to troll spoon flies, I need to try them again.

we fished it last week and found out we were trolling to slow. once we picked up the speed we had a limit and a half in an hour. two over 4 pounds
