6/25/2010 7:49:00 PMi was thinking of going there today. Guess I didnt miss much. Try moving up to 1 oz and braided line if you can and go with a 7 ft leader. Ive seen people cast half way out into the lake from the launch with that set up. Its no guarantee that you will catch fish, but it should improve your chances.

I met a nice gentleman who set me straight with some good advice and once I fixed my too heavy hook, I promptly got two separate bites but was only able to reel in an empty hook. It seemed that the power bait was very effective. If I had more time I think I would have had trout for dinner instead of hamburgers. Tomorrow I will try lake meridian, if it is open.
