Decided to give fish lake a try for the first time this after noon. I arrived at the lake around 12:30 to find the water level still high, but better than it was 2 weeks ago. The clarity seemed good and it looked like I could fish from shore. I threw hardware for a little over an hour with a bite so I decided to try fishing on bottom with a worm. Within 15 minutes I had a nice fat rainbow on shore. About 20 minutes later I landed my first ever cutthroat, a little bigger than the rainbow. After that I didn't get another bite. I left the lake at 5.

There were a few fish jumping, some of them looked to be pretty nice. There were also a couple people fishing from float tubes, but they said they didn't get anything. All and all, a good day to be outside and the couple fish were just icing on the cake.
