Ive always had good luck at haller. The public access on the north side of the lake is the best, not the one off of 125th street. Anyway, i was dropping a 3 inch brown tube with a 1/8 ounce jig head on the edge of the lilys. Very first cast, i droped it within a foot of the lilypad line in about 3-5 feet of water, i let it sink, give it a twitch and BOOM! I get a huge hit, i had 2lb test on so my drag was vary loose, it put up a 3 min fight. When i finaly landed it i measured nd weighed it. I got a 16in, 4.3 pound keeper. Threw it back tho, that fish probley can grow to be in the dubble digits weight wise. Left a hour later, got three more keepers useing the same method, great bass lake.

nicely done, just an FYI a 16 inch largemouth is illegal to keep due to the slot limit. it has to be over 17 inches, so you did right by letting it go.
