Arrived Friday to find out that road 6202 on the north side of the lake was being closed next week due to the garbage and human feces that is everywhere in the woods. I'm so tired of finding roads closed and camping areas shut down due to the slobs that can't pick up their mess. Lake was very windy and we only shore fished Fri evening with only a few perch caught. Sat. morn we walked down to Cascade Hideaway and found out there was a fishing derby going on. While I was talking to the gal that was running the derby a guy came in to claim the first limit for the derby at 7:15am. He said the fishing was slow, but picked up 5 that were all about 12-14 inches. Wind started to blow at 8:15 am, so fishing was done for the day from my 12ft cartopper. Shore fishing from our campsite picked up 1 12 inch bow on powerbait. Sun. the wind again started early and blew all day till late. Another 1 fish day. Mon. morn. was dead calm and sunny, so I was able to get out and do some trolling. Picked up fish right away with spinner and worm. Both my daughters caught fish and 2 for me when my battery went dead. We slow drifted and I picked up one more when the wind started to blow at 10am. This is such a pretty lake. It's too bad the wind blows like a banshee all the time. If you have a small boat it can be very dangerous and I've seen many people get in trouble here. Thanks to all the slobs you've wrecked another great camping area that I've enjoyed for years.
