Headed to Rock yesterday with a buddy.. First trip since March.. Hit the water about 3:30 and fished till 9:30... Headed to Johnson Beach area and drop-shotted a senko worm, tried cranking a rapala both shallow and deep and nothing.. Headed to far north end of lake and caught one bass off a point..Tried swimbaits, trolling a blue fox, craw styled crank bait, and even powerbait.. Nothing. Headed back to Johnson Beach around 7:30, caught this one BEAUTIFUL 3.75 lb brown on a Yo-Zuri minnow in about 12 feet of water. Caught one more 12" bow about 30 yards off the boat laucnh on the way back in on the same yo-zuri minnow. Overall, we fished 6 hours and caught only 3 fish.. One of the tougher days I've had on Rock.... But I'll be back.. Launching was an absolute dream-the water is high.. Only one other boat on the water.
