Headed for Lake Wilderness this morning. When I got there the gate to the launch was locked so I headed for Spring instead.

Weather was overcast and cool, probably mid 50's with no wind at first light and light variable breeze after 7:00 AM.

Fished from about 5:15 AM until 11:00 AM. Trolled flatfish and hot shots. Old school frog (only green/black - no yellow) in size F4 was most consistent producer. Perch scale pattern in F4 and trout hot shot in size 70 also caught. Total 8 hooked with 5 to the boat. Got hook-ups at lots of different points around the lake mostly in the top 12 feet of water. All cookie cutter 8 - 11 inch hatchery bows and all released to come back when they are BIGGER! ;-)

Saw the bald eagle fishing at first light. He took a half dozen swipes and seemd to come up empty. Later in the day saw a large falcon in a tree top at the edge of the lake.

Water lillies are just starting to bloom...will be pretty when they get some sun and bloom for real!
