Went out the 4th for a couple of hours before the craziness begins...Caught one after cuttin off about 30 yards of line on my baitcaster,Just re-spooled it with some new line, musta put a little too much on, bird nestin like crazy, but once i took some line off i was back to castin like normal..Sooo started off frustrating..than i caught a little smallie...then the wind came..IT WAS RIDICULOUS..rarely bring an anchor cause i load and unload the boat from the back of my truck by hand(12' aluminum) a lot of times by myself, and being a bass guy I rarely jus sit in one spot for more than 15 minutes unless its crackin!..Anyways..from then on it was a fight i was losing, trying to manuever the trolling motor while trying to jig plastics in that wind was lame-o..after battling it for 2 hours i had to call it a day, jus got frustrated, got quite a few bites. but couldn't put the plastics to there potential with the wind..let alone let the fish actually take the bait due to me movin around so frickin much...Take care..Fish on people..
