7/9/2010 12:01:00 AMThe gills were approx 5 inches I suppose, some a hair bigger. Kapowsin is loaded with 'em. At the boat rental outfit theres several
pics of BIG gills but I havn't caught anything to big yet.

Took the family out and my nephew as well. I really wanted to try for bass but the key was
to get the kids over fish and to have a great time. Rigged up the worm and bobber and caught loads of bluegills, even got some pumpkinseeds, rock bass of coarse and a few small bass.
Every spot on this lake seems to hold fish,it may not be the biggest or baddest but if your just
trying to keep the kids interested, you really can't go wrong with worm/bobber either from the boat or the shore. In the last 48 hours the lake has really changed,it would appear that Kapowsin
is in the midst of an algae bloom, the shore has a thick collection of it,almost looks like some kind of mystery school lunch soup. Not sure how bad it will get but wanted to mention it,also, the weeds have exploded in the north end,I was here on Monday and they were up but didn't cause a problem, however, yesterday(Wednesday) they were always getting caught in the prop. Again, not a biggie but wanted to let you folks know.
All fish released and don't forget sunscreen,water,sunscreen,water...etc,etc
Good luck out there
