3 other friends and I got to Log Boom around 9am on Saturday. When we first started, it was cloudy and cold and there weren't very many bites. My friend managed to pull in a couple tiny squawfish and I brought in a tiny pumpkinseed. Around 11, the sun came out and it really started warming up. As a result, the bite really started to pick up. From 11 to about 1, we caught bluegill, perch, and pumpkinseed almost every other cast. Between the 4 of us, we probably caught 25 or so. We wanted to keep the big ones, but we read a sign that said they had just dumped herbicide in the lake to control the plant growth so we let them all go since eating them was out of the question.

However, it was later after some research that I found out freshwater fish do not store the herbicide (Diquat) in their bodies. :)
