Fished Washington again this morning after plans to hit the salt were thwarted. Went after cutthroat but didn't do any good for them. Fished in front of the Cedar River and caught a ton of little kokanee, all too small to keep, and hooked one big fish that broke me off, assuming a Sockeye. Headed up the the 90 bridge and fished on the south west end. Didn't mark a whole lot of bait around but did hook a few more sockeye. In total we got around 5 or 6 little kokes and 3 big ole' bright sockeye (released, of course). Pretty funny that the sockeye nailed a 4/0 Dodger with a wedding ring and half a night crawler, lots of fun on the super light gear but pretty startling at times that they might spool us. Count says there is 135,000 over the locks.... a far cry from the 300,000 needed for a season. Could not find the cuts today, but still a fun day of C&R.
