Another day at Marsh Island. i have a novice fishing friend Kevin just getting into fishing so we kept it super simple, dropping a nightcrawler straight down near the lillies. And trying to be "Wary wary qwuiet" Kevin was the champ of day with most and largest rockbass, some 7 inches. So i was very happy for his success and growing confidence.

Also witnessed a duckling chased and swallowed by a Largie in front of us. It was a terrible sight as the struggle lasted a few moments, duckling escaped once or twice but finally dragged down for good.

I toyed around with a drop shot setup, landing the weight on a lily pad and flipping the worm around the gaps between the leaves. Caught a couple bluegill that way, much fun.
