Got a bit of a late start saturday morning and didn't get the boat launched until about 8am. This lake has been somewhat of a challenge as we know it holds kokanee, but up until now haven't been successful in catching any. Used a 4/0 dodger today ahead of a purple-glitter dick nite and a chartruese-purple dick nite,... both tipped with maggot or firecorn. Started off with a 12" rainbow,... and then in the course of 4 hours landed 3 10-11" kokes! FINALLY! Had some other hits, and a couple of others on that never made it to the boat. Tried trolling a bit slower by turning off the electric motor and drifting some. New fishfinder coming next week that will help ID whats going on under the boat and with speed control. All in all a good morning!
