This evening started off with a battle with the wind blowing out of the east so i had to fish the Yacht Club area to find the Biters today..
The Ace Hi-Fly by Silverhorde baited with Pike minnow Strips with the "Secret Sauce" smeared on was the ticket for a successful night of Laketrout fishing.
Targeted depths from 115 to 185ft to find the fish that were aggressive..Varied my speeds between 1.2 to 1.6 mph to trigger the strikes. There is alot of fish at and around the Yacht club so remember this spot when Momma Nature decides to throw you a curve in your plans..The only thing to remember when fishing at the Yacht Club Area is, you have got to pay real close attention to your Sonar because the bottom really changes fast and there is alot of floating Debris that can cause you problems with tangling on your downrigger line and fishing poles.
