Hey all!
My Buddy and I had a fun day on the water at Fazon. To my surprise after watching and talking to other anglers on the water, we were the only ones catching anything. Which is why I’m willing to share all the details on what we were using. I love fishing and I want everyone to enjoy it too. No one likes to get skunked. We were all over the lake fishing windblown shoreline, non windblown pads, creek outlet, deep water boulders, shallow to deep drop offs all with good success! Others were using live worms, spoons, bass jigs, inline spinners, and one guy said he tried topwater all with nibbles only. Along with some of those methods we tried billed and lipless crankbaits, buzzbaits, topwater dogs, swimbaits, and spinnerbaits. All fast and slow, start n' stop, you name it, we tried it. I'm not sure why those other methods didn't work. You would think with this high water temp (80F at the surface) the fish would be all over the fast moving methods. All they seemed to be interested in was slow moving plastic. And they hit em' hard and soft. Some almost pulled the rod from me and others were so soft that I would not have known I had a fish if I didn't see the line move. All 14 of our fish were 10"- 12" long. Not big fish but, they were still fun, especially when we switched to light tackle. So, we used 4” lizards and bever baits in junebug color behind a 1/16 oz slip sinker. All in all a good day on the water. I hope good fishing to all fellow anglers!
See you on the water!

Good job With the high water temps the fish are deeper down in the thermo were it`s cooler. There still aggressive just deep,in cover and lay downs not using alot of energy. Waiting to ambush instead of chase a meal.
