7/30/2010 9:35:00 AMI'm guessing around 2lb 3oz.? You can print a size chart off the internet that will give you pretty damn accurate weights for the length & girth of the fish. All you need is a cheap measuring tape like the ones used when you get fitted for a tuxedo.

7/30/2010 9:58:00 AMHi fishnut. I'm new to bass fishing too- it's a gas isn't it !? We caught one that looked a bit smaller than yours (12 in) but it only weighed 3/4 of a pound- it looked like it would be more.

7/30/2010 5:23:00 PMNice job fishnut, thanks for reporting your results! My guess, 2.5-2.8lbs... When your getting hit on a wacky senko, don't be afraid to throw a 4-5" berkley swimbait as well, especially in that stained water! The slow wobble and weedlessness of those work very well on that lake. Also, 1/4oz black buzzbait in the last hour of the evening will keep a smile on your face too, just don't use line under 15lb braid due to the amount of pads and vegetation there.

8/4/2010 8:39:00 PMI always just measure them with tape measure. 12" is about 1lb, 14-15" is around 2lbs, 16-17" is around 2 1/2 to 3lbs and 19" by 7" wide is 4lbs caught two of those before. But I always just measure them and toss them back. Tough to tell from photo but looks like 15" or so 2lbs or more. Nice fish and love top water my favorite way to fish.
