It was a great evening out with Dale and Hunter Payne of Gig Harbor. We started out trying to reproduce my late morning bite in the flat, but only garnered one fish in about two hours of trolling. We then picked up and moved to the face of Manson Bay to try and rack some Macks. Holy Cow, were they there and ready to cooperate. We had a triple and at least 4 doubles over the next hour. Hunter got to be a pretty good expert on handling our Ugly Stik / Charter Special combos. We finished with 13 lakers. Thanks Hunter, it was fun.


We were working depths of 135 to 190. The hottest lure was a Black / White with a glow back Kingfisher lite spoon. Flatfish from f7 to t4 in both Luminous Chartreuse and Purple Glow worked fine to. Speed was 1.1 to 1.5mph.
