Got to public launch at daybreak (5 a.m.?) weather condition-overcast foggy 50s until around noon when sun appeared and blue skies and 78 degree air temp-water temp low 67degrees high 76 degrees-water condition muddy with clarity depth of 1 to 2 foot - lures used crankbaits, spinnerbait, tubes, jig and plastics-most productive lure black skirted jig on a 7ft.6inch flippin pole strung with 20 lb. Stren florescent blue mono filament line with 7 inch plastic curly tail trailer-depth most fish found 2 to 3 foot- presentation flipping black jig and plastic worm along isolated windy red brush-fish caught 14-large fish of the day 5lbs-early in morning fish were located on rocks with just small bass hitting. Later around noon found fish in red brush piles on sunny side of lake with wind paralleling shore or bushes. Fish would pick up jig in thick of bushes then move off and intertwine the line in the roots and had a battle with each fish trying to get out of bushes. As if it doesn't sound familiar the biggest fish of the day (which i got to see as she intertwined my line around, over, through, under, and any way possible to string a line around the roots and whatnot's under the murky depths)THEN PULLED OFF! All fish were released to be caught again. Dave Newby
