It sure was great to be on the water again after a month layoff (life had just gotten in the way).

Started at 10:15am in a fog. Not us, but on the lake. Really weird with heavy fog on the surface with a light breeze a cool temperature. About 12pm it elevated to a high, dense marine layer.
The sun only broke through for about a half hour around 1pm.

K. was using all kinds of plugs and sometimes a wedding ring with worm. 11 sunfish came on the worm and 21 LMB came on various lures. His largest was a very fat 2.5 pounder. His best success was on a High Roller top water plug.

I had a slower day boating only 11 LMB on lures. Some of the old favorites didn't produce, so I tried a couple new ones out of the package which worked. I also resorted to an old school Lazy Ike which brought in three.

The same marine layer we dealt with foiled the local Fly-In, so at about 1:30pm, P. walked around the lake and hopped in the boat with us and he managed to land 14 LMB on assorted lures.

So catching and releasing 57 fish made for a good 6 hour fishing day.
