I figured I would put a report in here to help any one out that is looking to go catfishing. My two Buddies and I fished Wallula lake near bates island for catfish. The first night we caught 4 total the biggest was about 8lbs. The next night we caught 12 nice ones and throw back about 6 that were small we had a blast. The first night we were fishing deep about 5 to 12 ft. The second night we anchored in about 5 ft and casted to 1 to 2 ft of water. if you don't catch them right awway just keep moving. We used cut squaw fish for the most part and fished on the bottom or with a lighted bobber both methods worked. All were Channel cats but we did catch one Brown bullhead as well. Also during the day we threw jigs for smallies lots of fish under 12" in the lake.
