I went to Lake Cassidy yesterday afternoon 2pm to 9pm. It was bright and sunny and slight breeze thought I would work on my tan until they started hitting. I went from boat launch to right as wind was blowing and seemed calmer that way. I tried spinner bait, rat L trap, top water rapala and swimming countdown rapala. I had not hits in front of pads, in pads but just a couple hits on top water behind the pads close to shore. Think those were crappie hits. I finally made it to end of lake by channel and caught 8" bass on top water then caught a decent 12" bass on same. Fishing was slow due to heat but far end of lake seemed shallower and warmer.

I ended up getting all the fish on top water minnow in pads or close to shore. I caught 11 Bass and 1 Crappie. Bass were 13.25" by 3" wide, 12", 11.5" two and six that were 8". I was surprised all the smaller one's were same size. I had one of those Charlie Brown days with my line kept getting tangled or snagged. I gave up when my line got so tangled I couldn't see to undo it.
