Myself and my son went up to Baker to try our luck at the sockeye. We hit the lake about 6:30 and went over to noisy creek. There were alot of boats there but everyone was being very courteous about trolling lines.
We started of with a 2/0 gold and silver dodger and small hot pink squid tipped with shrimp. We trolled for awhile at about 60 feet with a couple of hits but no hookup. After a few passes I changed my dodger to a green silver UV just to try it out. This seemed to be the ticket today as 15 minutes later I hooked one and got it to the boat.
It didn't seem to me that with all the boats out that there were that many being taken. Some had limits, alot did not. Still a real nice day on the water even if it did rain alittle.
