Got to Sunday Lake this morning and launched at 6am. Started casting for awhile with plastic worms...one 10 inch bass the in the first hour and a half to show for it. So many weeds and slime balls in the shallower water. So I switched to a perch colored Rapala and tolled it high in the water column. Started catching bass and perch right away...the bass were no bigger than 11 or 12 inches (most were 7-9 inches), and many of the perch were that big too! If I didn't hit weeds, I hit fish...sometimes both. Most bites were around the deep weed edge. Although I am there for the bigger bass, it was hard to quit trolling because I was constantly getting bit. 20+ bass and 15+ perch for the day, all caught and released. I was off the water by 11am. Two other boats on the lake with me...quite crowded for a Monday morning. .
