Hit Meridian again today. Got on the water at 9:30AM and wow it's chilly. Cloud cover with patchy fog. Headed out with a buddy.
I had on a lipless crank throwing around weeds and docks. Jighead and grub for a bit.
I caught a small LM and a small perch within my 1st 5 casts. Had lots of small fish follow. I started throwing a wacky rig worm. Lots of nibbles from the small fishes.
My buddy tied on a weight and started using a small chunk of nightcrawler dragging on the bottom. He got lots of bites from small fishies also.
We caught a bunch of small LM and perch. My buddy did hook either a rainbow or kokanee halfway through the day. Jumped off as it was getting to the boat. Didnt get a good look at it. All I saw was the silver.
Still no big fish for me.
