Went out to the Fremont Channel again this morning and started off under the Fremont bridge. I reeled in a bunch of tiny smallmouth for about two hours walking along the north side of the channel. Not super exciting but what a pleasant day! It was around 70 degrees when we made it there at 9 am and got up into the 80s by the time we left. The one pictured was the largest fish I caught by far ... I'm looking forward to kayaking around Lake Union, hopefully I'll find something bigger. He slammed my crankbait and swam off with it, caught me off guard. Brought him to the shore quick, though, and he even de-hooked himself and landed on my towel.
