Fished Panther Lake from a friend's house for awhile this morning. I used a drop shot rig with a 4" finesse worm and fished deeper looking for bigger bass. I caught and released quite a few smaller largemouth bass, and 5 or 6 like the one in the pic (1.5-2 pounds), but no monsters today. But my favorite part of the trip were the 2 crappies I (stumbled across) C&R'd....each was about 14 inches long and bigger than most of the bass. Amazing fish when they get this big. We used to catch them this big here all the time when we were kids, but these are the first this size I've seen here in 10+ years. Fun day.

love it. you are the man. start throwing 1/2 oz jigs with a beefer trailer or some 12" culprits in black or blue. You will avoid those small guys. Or start throwing swimbaits. Hit me us PM and I'd love to get you on bigger fish. fishnislife
