I've been heading over to Idylwood park on the west shore of Lake Sammamish for a few weeks. Generally it's good for some nibbles, mainly perch, but last Friday I went with a friend and we got a little more than usual.
I was casting from the dock parallel to the shore aiming for the spot where the weeds dropped away. I snagged a total of 4 perch with my worm and hook, two of which were too small to bother keeping. Also, as we were getting ready to finish for the day, I also snagged a decent size catfish that made a nice gumbo.
The big catch of the day was my friend, who was casting a weight and 6 foot lead with floating bait into the deeper area of the lake. I haven't had any luck with powerbait, but he got a decent strike and reeled in a 1lb5oz whitefish.
