The weather seemed to be good enough to tempt me into trying to catch a few bass. Launched onto Wye Lake in my electric powered boat. Wye Lake does not allow gas motors. It was not early when I launched and the wind was already blowing. Way too windy to fish effectively but I was there so gave it a try for a couple hours. Caught 5 bass, nothing big but a couple a little over a pound -- all hooked on a floating Rapala. Nice day on the lake except for the wind. No other fishermen on the lake. I did my good deed as I launched. A bank angler had hung his favorite bass lure onto a dock that he couldn't wade to. I retrieved it for him. Good deed #2 was picking up a bit of garbage at the access. Over all the access was pretty good with clean toilet and little litter.
