Started off at Green Lake. Caught a tiny Large mouth on my 3rd cast and that was about it. 20 minutes later I headed to Lake Washington. I rented a canoe for an hour behind the stadium. I scouted around the Lilly pads for quite a while before I found a nice point that dropped quickly into deeper water. I watched what was most likely a carp, but if it was a bass, it was at least 8 pounds as it darted into the Lilly. I hooked a 2 pounder but it got off as I went to lip it. The wind was gusting south at 20 mph and it quickly became impossible to fish in one spot without an anchor. I ate a late lunch at Jimmy Johns then hit my favorite Eastlake spots. I am really staring to grow a love for dock fishing. There's so many fish under all of these docks, you just have to figure out how to get them out of there nice shaded homes. I caught a few, nothing much over 2 ibs but it was a great day and I know our best fishing days are numbered for the year. I hope I'm wrong about that.
