Fished Greenlake yesterday from 10:30 to 1:30. Action was so-so early but picked up as it got closer to 12:30/1:00. Hooked up a 14" rainbow right off the bat using a floating line with a black woolley bugger and thought.....this was going to be the start to a great couple of hours. Didn't get another hit though until near 12 Noon. Then I switched to a black Zonker and went deep. Caught a nice 18" triploid and a 12" bow casting toward shore from my float tube near the crew docks (SW corner of the lake). Trolled back up the west side to the lily pads where I had launched from and began to catch more fish right at the edge of the pads. When the action slowed, I switched flies (to an olive thin mint leech) and depth (used a 10' sink tip line) and started to catch fish again. All in all about a dozen brought to hand and another dozen LDRs (these were small fish about 8"). For a change I landed the bigger ones and lost the little guys!

If you are going to fish this lake, better get out there soon. The water was still pretty clear but I saw some algae starting to bloom. Once that happens, it pretty much kills the fishing as far as I'm concerned. You will still catch some fish but the water's visibility drops to about 6 inches.
