Fished from shore for two days, primarily worms dropshotted just off the bottom. Caught dozens of bullheads, a couple of sunfish, a catfish and a smallmouth but no trout. On the third day my buddy and I got out on the lake before dawn and trolled for an hour and a half. He picked up a nice 14 inch rainbow with a wedding ring spinner and worms on the surface and I pulled up a 17 inch rainbow trolling a silver and black rapala just off the bottom. Subsequently, I cruised the lake with the fish finder and about 90 percent of the fish I marked were suspended between 20 and 40 feet in the 50 feet deep water that stretches from the big island almost to the south end of the lake. If I could have continued, I would have focused my efforts there.

thanks for the report. It's amazing how fast the warmwater fish come back, that lake was killed off 3 years ago.
