Fishing a combination of lures is proving to be productive for morning laker fishing on Chelan as summer winds down and early unsettled fall weather sets in. We are still opening on the Bar, but I can feel it getting less productive. The move into the lower end of the lower basin has put the majority of the fish in the box. Look for water in a narrow depth band of 225 to 232 for best results. Luminous Chartreuse flatfish from F7 up to T4 have gotten bit as well as the UV Cop Car (Black and White) Kingfisher Lite spoon. Pull them tight to the bottom at 1.2 to 1.6 mph. Thanks to the Kelley girls and their guys for fishing with me. What a fun morning!
Keep an open for our "Fight Fish, Not Fishermen" special. You should see the posters in retailers around the region be next week.
