Started the day fishing just south of the boat launch. Spotted a few surfacing so I threw my trusty white buzzbait and nailed a nice 3 lb 14 oz largemouth, good start to the day! No more topwater action for the day. Decided it was about time for me to get this drop shotting business down so I broke out the spinning rod and some 3" power bait baby bass minnows. Immediately could tell the difference using lighter line (thanks rl206!) Wasn't long before I landed a smallie, bout a pound but my first fish on the dropshot! After that I only managed about a dozen rock bass on the minnows, no more bass for the day. Couple firsts though so i went home happy (first LMB landed on American, and first mixed bag, along with the dropshot first)
