Som and I targeted largies for the first time on Lake Wa. and had a tough time getting bites. I caught a few largies from 1-2lbs and 2 smallmouths in the 2lb range and broke one off that felt really nice. All the fish caught were shorter side, but all had fat stomachs. I think they are gearing up for the winter.
