My girlfriends-daughters-mother-in-law is in town from Hawaii and wanted to try some fishing. So my girlfriend called me up and asked me if i could help them out. But of course I said, you dont have to twist my arm. My girlfriend has friends on Lake Burien (where i fished on the 4th of july) so i said lets go there, since the homeowners heavly stock that lake. I didnt have much hope thou since the trout dont bite real well when the water is warm and this lake isnt real deep. Boy was I wrong. The mother-in-law has never fished with a reel before, she is phillapino (sp) and has used different methods before so this was new to her. My 6" pole just dwarfed her but she took to casting and reeling like a pro. We had our fist fish on her and mine's 1st cast. After that is was constant hits and misses. All the trout were between 12-15 " and we had a blast. we kept 7 between 4 of us that werent going to make it. We fished from 10:30 am -12:30. After that the bite just died. She had a great time, now she wants me to take to a river for salmon.. lol.
