A beautiful day on the lake. Started fishing at 12:15pm and finished at 6pm. Would have stayed longer but the showers began about 5:15pm. There was a light breeze and at points totally calm conditions. What a relief to not fish in a hurricane for once.
Not a bad body count - P. caught and released 21, K. boated 19 and me, 8. All of mine were LMB, and most of P. and K's were too. K. boated one really large pumpkinseed. Most here are normally much too small. (Need some northerns or muskie to thin them out.)
K. had good luck drop shotting with a worm in 8-15 feet of water. All kinds of assorted crankbaits worked...no particular style or color this time. Nothing larger than about 1.5 pounds boated today, but they all were fun.
