had a blast at the lake today. put the boat in at 830 and i left at around 230. i ended up catching 14 bluegill and 1 bass. i was staying close to shore and using about an inch of worm on a size 10 hook about 4-10 feet under the surface. size was 4-7 inchs. i am new to fly fishing so i tried that for about an hour and the second cast i got a blue gill and the last cast i got the bass up to the dock and in the air and it spit the hook. trout fishing is still pretty slow. bluegill are always fun to catch though.
