pretty much the same as the last report. when fishing the bottom, bites were fast and furious(small fish, couldn't hook them). kids were sleeping in the cuddy so I tried a new shoreling and let the light wing blow the boat along. i trolled a yellow and blue shad crank. it couldn't of been diving very deep. caught 1 of good fillet size (still released, needed more friends). caught the biggest squaw fish i think i've caught in this lake, good fight, good crabbait. caught a few more small ones on the crank castin to shore. nice day, the kids slept and i relaxed and caught some fish. suncrest water is pea green. down below sportmans cove it looks fine. water temp still around 66. smallmouth seem to be biting in the entire water column. do it again tomorrow. don't need any fish for the freezer, but if we can get into enough filleters they could use some thinning of the herd so to speak. I won't keep anything over about 1 1/2 lbs usually, the littler ones taste better and need the thinning.
