Well, let me tell you…as the other reports indicate, the fish were in the biting mood. I teamed up with G-Man for a beautiful day on the water. After the first 3 hours of pounding the south end and nothing to show for it, we headed north. We found more things of interest on the sonar and began adjusting our plan accordingly. Once we locked into a plan north of I-90 we immediately started having takedowns. In the last 3 hours we managed to land 5 nice fish, lost a 6th which was the largest, estimated approximately 4#. Out of the 5, we kept 3 for the smoker and released the other 2. We were very impressed by the overall size and girth of these fish this early in the year. The wind and rollers were a welcome sight as the blue-bird conditions were not helping much. Slow start, great ending and hopefully bright future for fall!

You guys should team up on next year's PSA's cutthroat derby. You could do some damage.

Yeah it was rough out there on Saturday, yet I also did well. Also NORTH.... Somre friends of mine live up on Champaign Point, and during the week I was looking down on the lake, and several guys were working the Shoreline up there pretty hard. Hmmm .... I've never really gone too much past 520 and Kirkland. Usually South, I-90 or 520 area.

Always a pleasure to fish with you, Mav. The first few hours had me worried that the beautiful weather put the fish off for the day, I guess they had to adjust to find the bait as well.
Fishmanjh - I hit the north end on Friday and picked up fish but they were small and put up zero fight. In fact, it wasn't until I hauled up the gear to check on it that I realized I had a fish on. Not sure what is going on with the fish up there.

Well...I must say, G's- hook-up ratio was ALOT higher than mine!...but let me tell you, as long as the boat is catching that quality of fish, I'm game!!. G- was gracious enough to give me 2 of the 3 fish I took home... a +2# and a 2 1/2 pounder, and then one I boated was about 2 1/2# as well. Thanks G- there were 6 gorgeous fillets in my kitchen last night! You'll definitely get a couple of packets once I process them! Jens...you're welcome anytime, just give me a shout-out.
