So my buddy mike and i hit the lake early around 6 am water was a sheet of glass started throwing frogs right around the lilly pads and KABOOOM a hawg plows probably around 3 lbs but he didn't suck it under so we went along fishing the wooded side of the lake with not much luck so we drove to the other side and started flipping jigs and senkos. Mike managed to pull out a 2 lb largie on a jig. After about another 20 dock I told him lets try top water again and about 3 docks later he landed a nice pig 4 lbs flat (left picture) fished some more and nothing. So he had to go it's now about (12:30 pm) and my girlfriend met us at the boat launch he hopped out and she hopped in I figured we would just smash down the wooded side again throwing frogs so we got going landing 1 after another 1-2 pounds now were coming close to the end of the woods. I pitch next to a downed tree 2 pops later the flat water EXPLODES I drop my rod count to 2 and set the hook and the fights on after about 2 minutes i manage to get this nice 4 1/2 lber landed (right picture) then we ended up hitting the docks after the woods real nasty green algae on the top of the water so it was perfect for top water about 2-3 docks down i launch between 2 dock after about 8 pops and then a run another explosion I drop the rod and set the hook and gave the rod to the girlfriend to reel it in, ended up being a nice 3.2 lb. Largie and that ended the day off the lake by 4:30.

Yeah those frogs are awesome, so much fun watching them just murder it. @elijah When my buddy mike caught his 4# large mouth he was throwing the brown and crimson SPRO frog when i caught my 4 1/2# largie I was throwing the black and yellow SPRO frog. I like them the most.

Heck yeah @staffola I will be out there with my girlfriend tomorrow I have the day off work will be out on the lake by 8am. If you see me come talk see how were doing. we will be in a 12' sears aluminum with custom decks and a custom built bowmount :-P @Elijah yeah dude they a worth it and i fish them with 20# braided power pro line so it floats and doesn't pull the frogs nose down. and you can get it in deep deep cover but i tell you what you do have to be patient because some days you won't get a bite others you can't get them off it.

Oh yeah and kevinb I have been hitting up this lake like crazy in early morning mostly thursday and saturday my days off and there has only been 1 wakeboarding boat out there 1 time and everytime we go it is nice warm calm water and a hot day. So we might just be getting lucky but when i fish after work i get off by 2 and at the lake by 3:30 when the speed limit is 8 mph so its always nice for the later fishing which i also like.

Right on! I got one out there a few months ago about 3 1/2 using a perch repala off a log on the bank. I wish I had a boat. Sounds like a hell of a day.

Heck yeah chuck I love this lake man it has fish down every side of it. When i go out i usually have 8-10 rods all tied with different stuff and sometimes it takes a while to find a pattern but once you do stick with it and it will produce big! I know the water is going to be clearer then normal so when i get out this morning im going to start throwing some perch cranks and spinner baits see how that works out.
