The day started slow so I put a red dodger and orange wedding ring on one pole. Baited with corn and caught 3 little kokanee. I was crossing the lake to the east side when I caught this triploid trout 26.5 inches long and about 5 pounds or so. My scales are very inexpensive so I am not sure how much it weighed. Wow, what a surprise and a good fight, too.

That's the best part about fishing, you just don't know what will grab your presentation! Thanks for the report.

I was trolling about 30 feet. I use snap weights with 4 ounces of weight and 50/50 line before and after. I don't know the conversion from 10 pound test line to 15 pount test, but I think 30 feet is close.

Nice idea with the red-dodger.... I always use my same chrome/silver or 50/50 ones. I will have to try out one of my red ones now! Good job on the trout!
