The drive to Dry Lake from the Seattle area was so worth it. My first time there.
Water level was low. Launched the 'Portabote' in 6" of water. Fortunately it floated enough to drudge through to the opens.
Hooked 9, landed 6. 4 were in the 17-18" range.
Triple teaser on just one color of leaded line from a Light Action rod kept it fun.
There were 3 other people flyfishing from float-tubes.
The surroundings were spectacular, and the fish were too.
Now, if I can just sneak in one last trip over the Thanksgiving weekend. Must be nice to wifey!
Lake closes Nov.30th, but I wish it was Nov.60th.
Selective gear: single hook, barbless. No internal combustion motors. Keep only one, but I say leave 'em.
