11/21/2010 8:22:00 AMWith the water temp still at 48, I think it will take a week of sub-freezing weather to even start the lake freezing over. I'll let you know what the water temp is on Thursday/Friday when I go out.

11/28/2010 7:57:00 PMLake wasn't frozen over yet on Friday. Water temp is still at 42 degrees. With wave action and temps coming back up I doubt it will freeze over for a few weeks.....

11/29/2010 2:49:00 PMThat's so funny about the fish being lethargic. Such a fierce looking fish with all those BIG TEETH would seem like a fighter. How do they fight in the warm weather?

11/29/2010 3:01:00 PMKind of depends. Smaller fish (36" and under) don't seem to fight as much on average. The Larger fish 38+ seem to fight as good or better than most steel-head I have gotten. Probably 1/2 the fish I caught this summer came out of the water more than once. The biggest two that I caught gave me about a 4-5 minute hard fight before I got them in the net. That's a lot considering I use fairly heavy tackle. Both of the larger fish I caught (44" class) came out of the water three separate times before I got them in the net. That being said, the tiger muskie don't fight quite as good as true muskies. I can't say b/c I have never caught a true muskie in the fall, but I bet true muskies fight much better even in the fall.....
