Today was a break through. My buddy and I finally each caught a fish. Though not huge, well barely even small, they were 11 inches and 8 inches but big enough to fry up and at least they were fish. Our dry spell went on to long. We switched up from our old set up of colors to white power eggs and rainbow nugget power bait. We had a lot more bites just missed them.

Was a cold day but was a lot of fun and some nice sunshine to go with it. We hit our normal spot behind the dam from shore. if someone fished the can line I think they might have done dang well. Waters temps cooling some and cold air means fish are starting to heat up on the bite.

A fish in the skillet is better than frostbit toes. LOL Way to go, Maybe the skunk is off and the catches keep getting better. See on the water soon.

Hey Robert, Last weekend color didn't matter. I was only a few miles up river. More should be making it to the lower end soon. Good to see you shake the skunk off!

Yes pretty small but there is no size limit on that lake and we were using bait so had to keep it. It is okay though it was ate so all is good. Now if I would have caught it using a spinner of other lure without bait I would have let it go to grow up.
