Wow - what a spectacular December day! Put my float tube in the water a little after 10am and had the lake to myself until 1pm. Stripping a weighted bead-head black wooley bugger, I C&R'd 7 and missed at least that many more. Beautiful, feisty, acrobatic bows. Smallest was 14" (the one in the not-so-great pic) - most were 16-17". All hits were in 9' or less water and the bigger bows were hugging the bank in cover. Water temp was 45 degrees.
I also want to give props to Gregg's Custom Rods in Lake Stevens for turning a beautiful 9', 5wt Sage for me. It got its first good workout today!
Happy holidays, ya'll!
