Just an hour or so after returning from a fruitful trip to Hog Canyon, one of my fishing partners, aka Motor1, calls me while entering Medical Lake to inform me he's going to Silver and can pick me up. Heck yeah, I say, let's go! After all, I'm flush with confidence after my banner morning trip to Hog!

We arrived at the public launch at about 1:00, and headed to deep water (30-35 feet) where another one of our buddies had recently done well. There were about a dozen other guys there, most of whom who were in shallower water nearer the road. We gave them all we for 3 hours, until 4:00, before calling it quits. We tried small jigs with maggots and perch eyes. Motor1 got a few dink perch and a sunny. Me? Not a single doggone look! Ouch.....a humbling experience! Guess I'm gonna have to head back to Hog Canyon tomorrow A.M.
