I finally made it back to Sammamish to first off, re-test my motor after having some issues last time out. Motor fine, check.
I launched at 9:15 am, headed up to the weather station. The water below the weather station is very murky/muddy. At least a dozen boats were fishing from the station, and just N. of that.
I set up a small silver flasher with a Coyote killer about 5' behind the flasher. I tipped it with two salmon eggs. I went to see a man about a mule... and at that moment, it was my first fish on.
boated a 14" cutt. noticed he had just one sea lice on him. This was at about 100 yards off the buoy. Fished here awhile then moved N. about a mile. Sent out my Brad's mini cut plug,, firetiger color?? yellow with some spots anyway. This was behind a sepps. flasher. Fished it only about 25 minutes, as I popped it off the rigger,, I was reeling it in and had a nice hit only about 20' from the boat, and this would have been right below the surface. Boated the nice fish for the day, 18" cutt. hen with eggs. I then went to about 90% the way up the lake, fished some more, but nothing.
The new docks are in and looking nice. Probably had 25-30 trailers in the lot when I left. Also kind of funny that I ran into another guy who I met on the water exactly 1 year ago to this week at Rufus. Mark, thanks again Mark for taking us out on Rufus that day. Bummer on the fishng though.

Looks like you picked up a resident and a tourist (sea-run), way to go. Was that a Coyote spoon you used initially or a coho killer, as the only coyote killer I'm familiar with is my .270 Browning.

G-man, Ha ha... on the "Coyote killer" After I posted that I realized it was a Needlefish lure. Somehow I had Coho killer stuck in my head.

I was in the same area with good results, the new docs are nice but the gangplank rail make it hard on a one man launch. at least they float!
