Fished from noon-4. Sure didn't seem like winter. Water cloudier than last week, trolled wooly bugger on leadcore not getting attention, switched out to small crankbait and diving rapala that was the ticket. Hooked about 8, half were fat rainbows in the 14-16 inch range, others were skinny browns, with one skinny brown that went about 18". trolling speed was between 1.2-3 mph. There were 6 boat trailers at the launch. Saw a few boats hanging close to shore, may have been throwing crankbaits?
Got the majority of strikes in a pretty small area in about 40-60 feet of water, fish were showing on the finder, made several passes and got 1 or 2 bites on each pass.
Overall fish seemed to have some better size than last time. Wondering if anyone had any success throwing crankbaits into shore?
