Went out to lake washington again for cutthroat. Fished the mouth of the cedar on sunday, which was not only dirty as a glass of chocolate milk, but the rivers current came way out into the lake. I moved down the west side of the lake until the water go clear, and began trolling. Immediately, we hit a 17 inch cutthroat and released it at 35 feet, out in the lake where the dark water quickly turned clear. We then moved towards shore, and trolled right along the bank at 35 feet, and picked up another almost identical fish. We worked the same shorline for another hour, and got one small cuttthroat like 12 inches or something. This all happened in the first 2 hours. For some reason, we couldnt get another bite all day. I guess it just happens that way sometimes. I was trolling red label cuttplug herring. There were A MILLION fish jumping in the dirty water at the river mouth, kokanee, and i saw some really big fish come up, had to be big cutthroat. Cant wait till the river drops back in shape, trolling the mouth is gonna be off the hook for big spawned cutthroat. No pics this time. Nothing big enough. haha
