Went to the Puyallup Sportsman Show Saturday and said Hi to the guys at the Washington Lakes.com Booth. Had a great time at the show.
Bought a new Koke/Cutt rod and some tackle essentials.
Today, Chris, Lou the Wonder Dog and myself went to Lake Sammamish to target the Cutthroats. We started about 8:30 am, North of midlake avoiding the muddy runoff water.
The weather was once again kind to us with minimal wind and many flat calm perods during the day.
Fishing off the downriggers shallow (10 to 15 ft deep, 80+ ft back) Trolling speeds of 1.5 to 2.0 MPH with S pattern troll.
Fishing was fairly steady with the few slow times between bites. A couple of fish hit and were caught letting line out before getting to the DR clip. Top water fun!
We had our limit of ten by 12:30 PM. Lost several and had numerous short biters.
All the fish today were nice 14 to 16 inchers. Mini hootchies in bright combo colors of pink, orange and reds with a small dodger were the ticket.
What a great Winter fishery.
I am unable to send photos on my iPad because Apple does not allow or support Adobe Flash Player ( what a drag). I will try to get them loaded shortly from my other computer.
Thanks, Sam
